Phil is the author of four books that explore the different facets of indigenous cultures and he's the founder of Bridges to Understanding, an on-line classroom program connecting youth worldwide through photo storytelling, exploring and honoring cultural diversity. Also, he's the co-founder of Blue Earth Alliance, which sponsors photo projects that explore endangered cultures and threatened environments. He's also a 2007 winer of the Purpose Prize.
